Children: Ages 8 - 12

At Cornerstone, our goal is to bring God’s truth to the lives of children. We offer children classes involving praise and worship, skits and arts and crafts to teach them at a level to help them grow spiritually.

Throughout the year, Cornerstone hosts a number events that are tailored specifically for our children and/or encourage children participation.

  • Resurrection Sunday skits and presentation events
  • Youth Conventions held at Summit Lake, Emmitsburg Md.
  • Back to school block parties
  • Christmas celebration skits and presentation events

What to expect

Sunday: The children join in with the youth and adults in our 10am worship service as we collectively learn how to praise and worship our Heavenly Father as well as hear what thus says the Lord.

Sunday school: After worship service, children learn Christian principles and how to apply them to daily life.

3rd Fridays: Every 3rd Friday of the month the children gather at our youth center for a fun night of arts & crafts centered on a scripture lesson.

Lead: Sis Nina Brooks, Florlyn Beasley

Youth: Ages 13 - 18

Train up a child in the way they should go: so when he is old, he will not depart from it.   Proverbs 22:6

The Youth Fellowship strives to make the Word of God relevant and applicable, build a firm foundation in the Lord and to withstand any and every situation one may go through during their life journey. This is achieved through activities such as the Youth Convention where they share their faith, discuss life topics and participate in other fun-filled activities.

3rd Fridays: Every 3rd Friday of the month the youth gather at our youth center for the Unmovable Movement! UMM is a youth bible study occurring for 1.5 – 2hrs. The goal is to make everything about this event attractive to ALL youth. Each meeting we can have a different speaker, discussing various topics that address the needs and spiritual growth of the youth. The speaker will give biblical advice on the topic and at the end we will leave time for an open panel discussion.

Quarterly: On the night or weekend of the Youth Fellowship (Unmovable Movement) the youth will fellowship outside the church walls a various locations such as bowling alleys, laser tag, Dave and Busters, amusement parks ect. This is a way to keep the youth excited and build relationships with the community.
